This is commonly used in off-road and racing conditions where higher speed and performance are needed. Slipping the clutch applies more torque to the cars wheels even though the fraction of power used in the clutch increases faster than usual. You must take note that excessive use of clutch control increases the wear and decreases the lifespan of the clutch.
